Summit Text Alerts - terms and conditions

Who we are. These terms cover the "Summit Text Alerts" program operated by Romanian United Foundation (RUF), 5408 N Kedzie Ave, Chicago, IL 60625, for the Romanian Community Summit on rosummit.org. Messages are sent from +1 (872) 224-4888.

What the program sends. Registration and ticket confirmations, check-in and QR code links, schedule or venue changes, on-site logistics for attendees, sponsors, speakers and volunteers, and occasional Summit announcements. We do not sell or rent your phone number and we do not send messages on behalf of third parties.

How you join. You join only by giving us your mobile number and actively ticking the consent box on the sign-up form at rosummit.org/sms, at ticket checkout, on a Summit registration or portal form, or by texting us first. Consent is never pre-selected and is never required to buy a ticket or attend the Summit.

Message frequency. Up to 4 messages per month. Message volume may be higher in the week of the Summit because of check-in and schedule messages.

Cost. There is no charge from RUF. Message and data rates may apply depending on your mobile phone service plan. Ask your carrier about your plan.

How to stop. Reply STOP to any message to be removed immediately. You may also reply END, CANCEL, UNSUBSCRIBE or QUIT. We send one confirmation message and then nothing further, unless you sign up again.

Carriers and delivery. The program is supported on major US carriers, including AT&T, Verizon Wireless, T-Mobile, Sprint, US Cellular, Boost, Cricket, MetroPCS and Virgin Mobile. Carriers are not liable for delayed or undelivered messages.

Privacy. Your number and the consent wording you accepted are stored so we can prove your opt-in and honor your opt-out. We share your number only with the messaging providers that deliver the texts for us. Mobile information is never shared with or sold to third parties or affiliates for marketing or promotional purposes. See our privacy policy at rosummit.org/privacy.

Changes. We may update these terms; the version on this page always applies. Material changes are announced by text to program participants.
