Question 1

How does the check-in process work?

Accepted Answer

Check-in is run from a phone or tablet at the door. Every ticket and free registration comes with a QR code in the confirmation email — show it at the check-in desk and the volunteer scans it, which marks you admitted for that event. No QR code? The volunteer can search your name or email at the desk and check you in manually. Organizers create private check-in links for their volunteers in the admin Tickets area (Desk), optionally protected by a PIN, and each volunteer picks the event they are covering before scanning. Check-in status is visible live, so the team can see who has arrived.

Question 2

Is there an app or QR code to track all the events during the summit?

Accepted Answer

Yes. The Live Now page (rosummit.org/live) is the day-of schedule: what is on right now, which room, minutes left, and what is next. It refreshes every 30 seconds and works in any phone browser — no app to install. There is also a lobby/TV view at rosummit.org/live?tv=1.

Question 3

When and where is the Summit?

Accepted Answer

The 4th Romanian Community Summit is September 18-20, 2026, in Chicago. The main day (Saturday, September 19) is at Christian Heritage Academy, 315 Waukegan Rd, Northfield, IL 60093. Satellite events, dinners, and mini-summits take place at partner venues across the area - see Plan Your Visit for addresses, maps, and hotel deals.

Question 4

How do I buy a ticket?

Accepted Answer

Go to the Tickets page, pick the package you want, and check out with a card. You will get a confirmation email with a QR code for check-in. Free-plenary registration is also available if you only want to attend the main stage sessions.

Question 5

Do I need a ticket for the mini-summits and satellite events?

Accepted Answer

Some satellite events are free with a Summit ticket, others have their own registration. Each mini-summit page (for example the AI Agents Summit or the GlobalRomania Summit) explains what is required and has its own sign-up. A full Summit ticket is required to attend the overall event.

Question 6

Where can I watch online if I cannot come in person?

Accepted Answer

The Summit is livestreamed on YouTube, Facebook, and GlobalRomania. Visit the Livestream page during the event for the direct links.

Question 7

Is there a hotel deal for attendees?

Accepted Answer

Question 8

What is the dress code at the VIP dinner?

Accepted Answer

Business Casual.

Question 9

What is the dress code at the Summit?

Accepted Answer

Business Casual.

Question 10

I am a speaker, sponsor, or partner - where do I manage my profile?

Accepted Answer

You should have received a magic link by email. That link opens your private page where you can upload your logo, photo, bio, social links, and discount coupon. If you did not get a link, email summit@globalromania.org and we will send one.

Question 11

How do I get to Chicago and get around?

Accepted Answer

O'Hare (ORD) and Midway (MDW) are the closest airports. The CTA and rideshare cover the city. Plan Your Visit has venue addresses and directions; the Arrivals page helps coordinate airport pickups for community members.

Question 12

Who organizes the Summit?

Accepted Answer

The Romanian Community Summit is organized by the Romanian United Foundation (RUF) together with community partners. See the Board page for the organizing team and the Partners page for the organizations involved.

Question 13

How can my organization sponsor or partner?

Accepted Answer

Visit the Sponsor page for sponsorship tiers and benefits, or the Partners page for community partnership. You can also email summit@globalromania.org and we will walk you through the options.

Question 14

Still have a question?

Accepted Answer

Email summit@globalromania.org and we will get back to you. For day-of help at the venue, visit the help desk or use the chat bubble on any page.

Question 15

Where are the discount coupons on the site?

Accepted Answer

Community business coupons live in two places. The Discounts Brochure at https://rosummit.org/discount-brochure collects every approved offer from Romanian-owned businesses in one printable booklet. Businesses that want to publish a new offer start at https://rosummit.org/coupon, where the Coupon Studio creates the coupon; each business then receives a private link to its own coupon page by email, so nothing is edited in public. Coupons are separate from Summit ticket pricing. Information on this page reflects the website as of September 13, 2026 and may not be 100% accurate - the live pages are always the source of truth.

Question 16

Is there still a discount code for the Summit ticket?

Accepted Answer

Early Bird pricing ended on Wednesday, September 9, 2026 at 23:59 Chicago time, so standard prices now apply at https://rosummit.org/tickets: Summit $200, Summit + Happy Hour $250, Summit Ultra VIP $600, Happy Hour only $50. Three reduced options remain: the $5 ticket for Heritage Awards nominees, high school and college ambassadors and students; the Partner Ticket at $100, which needs a code issued by a partner organization; and the free Saturday plenary registration (8:00 AM to 1:00 PM, breakfast included, no lunch or afternoon sessions), at the bottom of the tickets page. Business discount coupons at /discount-brochure are for shopping with community businesses, not for Summit tickets. Prices and deadlines verified on the website on September 13, 2026 and may change - check /tickets before you buy.

Question 17

Where is the Summit held, and what is the address?

Accepted Answer

The main venue is Christian Heritage Academy, 315 Waukegan Rd, Northfield, IL 60093, in the northern Chicago suburbs. Sessions run in the Main Hall with balcony, plus the Library, Loft, Side Hall, Classroom and Student Center. Parking on site is free - enter from Waukegan Road and follow the event signage. The venue is fully wheelchair accessible. Venue details and travel guidance are on https://rosummit.org/planvisit. Checked against the website on September 13, 2026; confirm on /planvisit before travelling.

Question 18

Is everything in one building, or are there other locations?

Accepted Answer

Most of the Summit happens at Christian Heritage Academy in Northfield. Three parts of the weekend are elsewhere: the Friday VIP and Carpathia RE Investment Club Dinner, the Saturday evening Happy Hour reception at the Golf Club, and selected Sunday satellite events - the GlobalRomania Young Leaders Summit is at ROCO Chicago. Each event page and the agenda at https://rosummit.org/agenda show the room or venue for every session, and https://rosummit.org/live shows what is on right now with its room. Checked on September 13, 2026 - the agenda page is always more current than this answer.

Question 19

Where do I find the sponsor and partner leaflets and print materials?

Accepted Answer

The printable sponsor leaflet is at https://rosummit.org/sponsors-leaflet, with a poster-style alternative at https://rosummit.org/sponsors/leaflet. Partners have their own sheet at https://rosummit.org/partners-leaflet, the printable program is at https://rosummit.org/agenda-leaflet, and the thank-you sheet for Angels and supporters is at https://rosummit.org/thank-you-leaflet. Each page builds itself from the live sponsor, partner and program lists and exports as PNG or PDF from a button on the page. The public sponsor and partner directories are at /sponsors and /partners. Verified on the website on September 13, 2026.

Question 20

What is on the website - is there a map of all the pages?

Accepted Answer

Yes: https://rosummit.org/sitemap lists every public page with a one-line description. In short - the Summit itself: home page, /agenda and /schedule for the program, /speakers, /topics and /tickets. Visiting: /planvisit for venue, hotel and Chicago guidance, /hotel for room blocks. Community: /sponsors, /partners, /board, /volunteer and /awards. Satellite events on Sunday: /techinno26, /grsummit26, /aiagents26 and /grbn. Getting involved: /sponsor, /advertise and the private portals for speakers, partners and volunteers. Written from the website as of September 13, 2026; /sitemap is regenerated from the site itself and is the accurate list.

Question 21

Where do I follow the program during the weekend?

Accepted Answer

https://rosummit.org/live is the day-of view: what is running now, which room, minutes remaining and what starts next, refreshed automatically. It also has a Print program button that produces a plain Friday-Saturday-Sunday list as a PDF. For a lobby screen or projector use https://rosummit.org/live?tv=1. The full three-day program is at /agenda, and the online broadcast links (YouTube, Facebook, GlobalRomania) are at /livestream. Checked on September 13, 2026.

Question 22

Where do sponsors, partners, speakers and volunteers manage their own information?

Accepted Answer

Each of them receives a private link by email - speakers, sponsors, partners and volunteers all have their own page where they update details, upload a logo or photo and confirm what they need. The general entrances are https://rosummit.org/speakers-portal, https://rosummit.org/partners/portal and https://rosummit.org/volunteer-portal, and sponsorship enquiries start at https://rosummit.org/sponsor. If a private link is missing, write to summit@globalromania.org and a new one is sent. We never publish anyone's personal link or contact details on this page. Checked on September 13, 2026.

Question 23

How current is the information in this FAQ?

Accepted Answer

Every answer here was written or last checked on September 13, 2026 and each one says so. The FAQ is a summary of the website - it can fall behind after prices, rooms, venues or deadlines change, so treat the linked page as the accurate source: /tickets for prices and deadlines, /agenda and /live for the program and rooms, /planvisit and /hotel for venue and accommodation, /sponsors and /partners for who is taking part. Anything that is missing or wrong here can be reported to summit@globalromania.org.
