Romania's first unicorn. Daniel Dines and Marius Tirca started it in a Bucharest apartment and took it to the New York Stock Exchange in one of the largest software listings ever. Its software robots and AI agents do the repetitive back-office work inside some of the largest enterprises in the world. It closed its 2026 fiscal year at $1.85 billion in annual recurring revenue and its first full year of GAAP profitability.
Bucharest Stock Exchange: AROBS · Founded in Cluj-Napoca, 1998
Voicu Oprean started it in Cluj in 1998 and still runs it. It builds custom software for international clients alongside its own fleet-management and HR products. It is listed on the Bucharest Stock Exchange, included in the MSCI Frontier Markets Small Cap index, and was named to the Financial Times' Europe's Long-Term Growth Champions 2025. Revenue of 448 million lei in 2025, operations across three continents, and roughly 70 percent of revenue earned outside Romania.

Listed on the New York Stock Exchange since 2018, with more than 11,000 engineers building custom software and AI systems for banking, payments, insurance, telecoms and healthcare. Its deepest engineering base is Romania: Bucharest, Cluj-Napoca, Iasi, Brasov, Timisoara, Pitesti, Suceava and Targu Mures.

For twelve years it has run E.ON's Virtual Power Plant, dispatching wind, solar and battery assets across four countries at 99.99 percent annual uptime and connecting roughly 2 GW of new capacity in 2025 alone. Its team also created Monix, a widely used open-source Scala library.

The Romanian-American Chamber of Commerce IT Alliance Chapter, founded in 2022, works to strengthen commercial and technological collaboration between Romania and the United States.
